Rumo Logística

Rumo Logistics provides its clients with a flexible, reliable and efficient multimodal logistic system for the exportation of sugar and other Brazilian solid bulk products. The company transports loads from producing centers to the port in Santos. The company provides traditional transportation services, storage and product shipment.

Rumo’s facilities in the port in Santos, resulting from a merger of Cosan Portuária sugar terminals with Teaçu in 2008, have an annual shipment capacity of 10 million tons of sugar and solid bulk products and a static storage capacity of 380,000 tons sugar in bulk and 55,000 tons of sugar in bags. Rumo’s terminal is the world’s largest port facility specialized in sugar shipment.

In March 2009, Rumo Logistics committed to make an investment with ALL-América Latina Logística to transport the production from the Center South of Brazil – the country’s largest sugar producing region - to the port in Santos by rail. This investment, still subject to completion, will get more than 1,000 trucks out of the city of São Paulo and transport over 9 million tons of sugar as of the 4th year after its implementation.
