Geoprocessing technology The adoption of geoprocessing technologies, among them, the utilization of satellite images to monitor plantation, was COSAN’s innovation, as from 2002. The information obtained enables the company to direct actions necessary to improve its productivity rapidly and efficiently. Another geoprocessing technology implemented was SIG (Geo-referred Information System), which facilitated to explore databank by means of thematic maps.
