Exports Until 2002, nearly 92% of COSAN’s sugar production was destined to exports. In the 2007/08 harvest, 84.7% of sugar production was exported. In order to meeting clients’ interest overseas, the company produces four different types of sugar. The Group developed in 1993 especially for the foreign market, the VHP (Very High Polarization) sugar, an innovation in the industry. Granulated refined, crystal and organic sugar are also traded. The hydrated ethanol is exported in 3 types: industrial, neutral and fuel ethanol.
