Univalem was initially created to produce anhydrous ethanol, tripled its production and diversified its performance area, and now also produces sugar. This is the single unit of the Group to manufacture organic sugar, totally free from any type of chemical additive. Such attribute is acknowledged by its quality, and certified by the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 for the organic sugar manufacturing processes, VHP, VVHP and VHP Plus, besides the biological material manufacturing process to prevent sugarcane plagues. This unit is also associated to the Unimodal Terminal.
